Breastfeeding or bottle pole!!!!

Who plans to breastfeed their baby and how long? If not breastfeeding is it just not convenient and you would like to or do you feel it's just not for you? Remember this is not a fight and no judgement should be made... it just so we know how many women plan to do what we plan to do, which ever way you are going.

I will breastfeed again, breastfed my oldest 18 months because i started working (i was a teenager then 17 years old) the beginning was painful, bleedings, cracks, dryness, my son is a healthy almost 9 year old boy, who looks like 13 year old kid. My second is 19 months old i still breastfeeding him he looks like a 3/4 year old, i am 32 weeks pregnant and will breastfeed my little girl and my boy at the same time "tandem nurse", never had a problem with supply, i was in the other hand over supply, had to wear nursing pads till around 13 months!!! So wish me good luck this time :-D

Hoping to breastfeed and pump. I'd love to do it for a year but I have a very busy job... Wondering how often in a work day I would need to pump to maintain supply and prevent pain or complication. I don't think I could pump more than once at work every day. Most days I don't have time for breaks.

Im planning to breast feed as well, but also plan on trying to pump as well so my fiance can share feeding and bonding time with little man. If for some reason things dont go as planned, I am open to formula feeding, but it's not my first choice. As long as little one gets all the nutrients he needs to grow and be healthy, I'm okay with either way.

I'm planning to breast feed. If for whatever reason the baby can't latch then I'm still planning to pump. My office is very accepting of breast feeding moms and provides a private room and extra breaks in order to pump. I feel like its best for the babies development and good for the mom as well. When I breast fed with my son, I lost all my baby weight within 2 months.

I had planned and hoped and wished to breastfeed my son for the first year. We encountered many stumbling blocks along the way, serious weight loss within the first two weeks, cracked and bleeding nipples, incredible pain and tightness in my breasts, and my son's pediatrician said I'd have to supplement because I didn't have enough milk. Crying my eyes out I called the birthing center where I delivered and made an emergency appointment with a lactation consultant/nurse educator. She helped me to express a huge amount of milk relieving my engorgement and helped latch my baby on. 90 minutes later he'd consumed 7oz and we were off to the races. I nursed for two full years (why stop at one when everything is going so well??) even though I went back to work 6 weeks postpartum and full-time nursing school at 6 months postpartum. He never needed to supplement - he was always ahead of the curve for growth as soon as he caught up - and is a happy healthy 3yo boy.

I plan to breastfeed until the baby self weans. My first was successful and self weaned right after his first birthday. I'm hoping this one will take a bottle though. My son refused so he was pretty much attached to me for that year.

I would like to try to breastfeed, never done it before as this is my first child.  I'm scared about the process, I know it's natural, but it still worries me.  If I can pump I will, since hubby will be up with baby at night so I can sleep.  I'll be at home during the day, he works late and even now stays up till like 4am even without a baby.  I'll probably wake at like 7am for baby. This all depends on baby's schedule though lol.

Yes, but i will not pump this time if my pumping results are as bad as last time. So if baby needs more or i have to go back to work to feed my family,  i am open to formula.
Did 9 months with my first. Hoping for 6-7 with this one. Would probably more if i could take more leave.

I tried to breastfeed with both of my son's.  My oldest I stopped before I got out of the hospital it wasn't for me.  My second child my husband wanted me to really give it a try for a few months atleast...  I did for about a week or two and got mastitis so badly I couldn't get out of fetal position and had a high fever. That was it for me I pumped to take out the fullness and swelling but once I could stand it I was done and switched him to formula.

No, I don't think so. I tried with my first but due to my health he failed to thrive until I formula fed. Going through the same complications this time I think I will probably just go straight to formula feeding.

I will Brest feed as long as baby doesn't start chomping. I Pumped for my first son for four months he couldn't latch on my second one till 7 months he started getting his teeth on the top and wouldn't stop biting so I gave h the milk I had stored in the freezer and switched to formula

I couldn't with my first.  Did with my second until about 6 months then I started working again and my supply dwindled no matter how much I tried to continue while I was home.  Plan on doing it with this one as well.  Not sure for how long but probably not for the whole year...just makes me feel weird, the thought of having a child that big on my t*t.  I'm not strongly for formula or breastfeeding.  I'm doing it because it'll save money and I'm hoping to have the same success and connection with this baby, that I did with my last because I enjoyed it.  Simple as that.

Breastfeeding but also pumping so my husband can help with feedings. I will go back to work after 5 months at home and will most likely stop at that time. I'm a teacher and can't imagine finding time to pump during the day!

My plan is to breastfeed exclusively for 6 mo.  Introduce food at 6 mo and stop bf-ing.  I'm hoping to be able to make enough milk to pump and save to make it another 2 mo or so.
