SUGGESTIONS PLEASE

Hi. I'm 6 weeks pregnant. I work full time 3rd shift and go to school in the mornings, right after work. I know pregnancy will cause fatigue but what can I do to help give me energy. I don't think energy drinks are safe for the baby so I have stopped that. Its become so hard to stay awake and motivated. Suggestions please.

Agreed. My doctor said no more than 2 cups of coffee, about200 mg(?) of caffeine is the maximum. I wouldn't have2. a day, but i have. Im almost 14 weeks abthand i still have fatigue but its gotten a lot better. After getting my Masters, I'm working about50 hrs a week so i know what youre feeling! You can do it! Please listen to your body and dont push yourself to a dangerous point.

I work 40 hours a week and am taking 17 credit hours at school. Im a senior so im trying to get my degree before the baby is born. Im doing all this completely single while paying for a mortgage, car payment, etc. Im currently 19 weeks. You will be tired, emotional, fed up, and angry but just do it. A little coffee wont kill ur baby. I drink one cup every morning just to get my butt in gear. Nothing is bad in moderation. But to get through my classes or work im constantly snacking. It keeps me awake and alert. And lots and lots of water. You can do it!

I would definitely say eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables and spinach and beef (for folic acid and iron and protein) and eat frequently to keep energy up. Also drink lots of water. Lemon water also wakes you up some. Prenatal vitamins are a must. I'd avoid lots of sugar or caffeine or processed foods or cause they will slow you down and make you crash. It's still going to be really hard, be careful. You may have no choice but to rest. I try to work 12 hours some days when I need to but its tough and I wear out really fast now. Sleep as much as you can.

Try resting every chance you get. Take prenatal vits, docs prescription is best. Start some iron and fibro acid. And if you have to put one on hold don't feel bad. 32 weeks of change is worth it for baby.
