When i found out i was pregnant with my second my bmi also said in was obese. My doctor said if i gained no weight i would be fine and would be 25-30 pounds lighter at birth. I was advised to eat a balanced diet and do moderate exercise like walking. Just make sure you are staying healthy and continue to eat, you will be just fine.
I'm on my 3rd and am heavier since having kids, the weight would fall off after and then gradually come back due to under active thyroid. With this pregnancy I lost 22 lbs in the first 15 weeks, I'm 26 weeks today and have only gained 2lbs back of what I lost. I have expressed to my doctor that I only want to gain a minimal amount of weight this times as I want to work off the excess from previous pregnancies after I have her. My doctor is fine with this, she said she would like to see at least a 15lb gain but to keep eating healthy well balanced meals and drink lots of water and the baby will do just fine.
I gained 60 with my daughter 11 yrs ago. After birth I lost 35 pounds. I lost the rest of my weight in about 5 months eating 4 meals a day my plate 3 meals consisted of 1/3 of my plate lean meat about 2-3 oz and 2/3 of my plate cooked veggies fruit or salad 1 snack. Then I chose a good workout program at home I could do. It was very successful. Ive gained about 30 this time. And I already have a workout chosen when im done. I have maintaned my weight for 7 years! So if you are disciplined which it seems like you are you will do fine. Just add another 300 cals to your intake. Calories apps are good. Hope that helps. :)
Thank you so much ladies!
