Restless legs!

Does anyone else suffer from restless legs during their pregnancy? I'm 11 weeks, and wake up at night feeling like my legs are in an electrical socket. I have to get up and walk around all night and it's awful! I had this with my 1st pregnancy but definitely not this early! Is there anything to do to fix it?

I have restless leg syndrome and it's caused by low iorn. Pregnancy depletes your iorn storage so it becomes worse in pregnancy. The medication for it has not been studied during pregnancy so it's not recommended. Talk to your docter about t akeing iorn supplements.

Mine were killing me too.. along with Charlie horses, shin splints and toe cramps.  Calcium/magnesium liquid capsules have helped so much! I actually can sleep more than 45 minutes at a time.

I had it horribly with my second and the only thing that helped was a calcium/magnesium supplement. I started taking it from the get go this time and haven't had any problems. The great thing is the supplement is good for multiple things. Magnesium works for headaches and acts as a stool softener which can be a godsend during pregnancy. And of course both minerals are good for bones.

Try elevating ur legs up against the wall or a few pillows under your legs.   Have your man rub or massage your legs try walking

I would put a pillow between my legs and squeeze it so I didn't get up and walk around

Drink more water. I had it both pregnancies and it was lack of water for me so i started drinking lots more and thankfully its gone away.

I've had them with all 4 of my pregnancies. Two things that really seemed to help me were taking my prenatal at bedtime and soaking my legs in a nice long warm bath before bed. Hope yours easy up!

I haven't been taking anything. But seriously it's sooo hard to sleep at night. I've tried walking/exercising before bed in an attempt to wear them out lol. Didn't work. I almost think it was worse!

Yup, it's awful. I don't think the meds are safe while pregnant and I've heard benadryl makes it worse, so maybe don't take that
