Thank you everyone. I felt horrible telling him not to go to his moms. But i also told him to think about the baby. Her health is very important. Especially because she hasnt had her first set of shots yet.
He didnt end up going thankgoodness!
Yea becareful definitely I would be cautious its dangerous for baby.. I would tell husband the risk for baby ..or to disinfect himself before coming in the house change clothes or wear a mask when he sees his mom and gloves to hv barriers so he can not hv direct contact..call pediatrician.
The shingles virus and chicken pox virus are the same so yeah I wouldn't want a new born exposed to it. I think though if he showers well and wears clean clothes that haven't been around his mom he would probably be ok. Check with your doc and see what they say first.
I would say could you wait a little longer. His just getting over a cold or flue is not good for his mom or him. Bothe shingles and cold and flues are contagus. He can make his mom sicker and she could give him shingles. Either way it is a very serious illness. People have died from shingles. And you definitely do not want your baby to get sick with it.
I only know what I do as my aunt almost died from shingles a couple of years ago
