You don't have to dress "granny like" in maternity clothes lol you can still have plenty of style. I still get lots of stuff from Express and Nordstrom.
Kboss7 thank u for understsnding but some ppl feel pregnant women should look sloppy or old no way not here and summers here I will be looking nice big but nice lol
Chas4683 lol u made me laugh yes forever 21 I love I shop there to u shouldn't hv to be a granny cuz ur prego and agree I will use clothes again..thx
I've tried both, feel more comfortable with larger sizes. Maternity clothing is indeed expensive. I switched to a lot of leggings and yoga pants. (= 1 or 2 sizes larger nothing with elastic, I prefer the drawstring. I actually went to the alleys in downtown LA and found clothing much much cheaper that at a regular store. I spent 220 overall and bought everyrhing, from nursing bras to undies, to tops pants skirts and dresses. It's only a couple of months, comfort is my main concern. Alleys in downtown LA are on spring and 6th. Go to the garment district. This is if you reside in southern california.
I wish I could still fit into most of my pre pregnancy clothes. I am only 14 weeks but already can't button my jeans, and can barely get them over my hips. I have belly bands so they help but honestly I like a lot of the maternity clothes I find. I went to Destination Maternity and got three nice dresses and a couple shirts for $165, which is a lot cheaper than my normal clothes.
I wore regular cloths and shopped at my same places , kept my swagger :) lol
I liked forever 21 bc they have a lot of like long neat shirts , I got one shirt where it gets super longer in the back & on the front it said ( This One's A Keeper ) thought it was cute for a pregnant women . Long skirts , leggings ! ♡ cute little dresses you name it , if you look great and beautiful why not :) I got thousands of compliments on my style while pregnant . I just kept in my mind that whatever I bought I wanted to be able to still rock after pregnancy as well & it's worked out great , & maternity cloths are ridiculous in prices .
Nope you aren't alone. I am almost 31 weeks and wear both regular and maternity based on what I like. Since I have lost weight so far I am actually still wearing my regular jeans and shorts. I wear whatever I want and whatever fits me best. I could care less what other people think I should be wearing or where they think I should be shopping.
Getting a maternity band was a life saver saved me so much money
Oh I hv to move up a size boobs are big lol but I get it..
No im just saying there's noneed to even move uo a size if you wear trousers or jeans just buy a maternity band
No I dont shop at teen stores but shop at macys..mandees .. like where I normally shop bebe store just get a size bigger. And old navy not maternity clothes I just get bigger sizes not expensive I just dont feel I hv to wear manternity clothes all the time just jeans yes for belly...
I never maternity clothes infact I wore age 13 to 14 clothes I never needed to move up a size just wore leggins and stretchy t shirts
Old navy has a pretty good selection of cute maternity clothes online, very similar to their regular clothes and not expensive.
I haven't started needing maternity clothes yet, i have a few tops that is usually belt, so i know those will keep fitting.
With my first, for the work clothes I needed it was cheaper to just go up a size in regular clothes!
I still shop in regular stores for some things, like maxi dresses and stuff. Occasionally I'll find a cute top or two but most of the stuff I buy now is maternity just because I'm going to keep getting bigger. I wouldn't be shopping in the junior department though or like teen stores just cuz some of those things might come off as trashy on a pregnant woman. I'd stick with women's stores
