Potato chips helped me too lucky at 20 wks nausea is mostly gone and I only gag when I wake up really early and brush my teeth.
You are not alone. I'm also 7 wks. Dr meds help a little but it doesn't go away. Lots of water and unspiced food helps. I can't stand cooking.

Thanks everyone! :) I found chicken soup and regular potato chips really help. Still I'm gonna ask the doctor tomorrow :)
At 6 weeks I was diagnosed with Hyperemesis gravidarum (HG) which is chronic vomiting, nausea, dehydration and weight loss. I started out with Zofran (every 4 hours), then they added Reglan (every 6 hours) orally. By 10 weeks it was getting worse, so I had to get a home care nurse and IV's all day. The doctors also have me on a 24 hour Zofran pump which puts the meds directly into my stomach. As of yesterday (14 weeks pregnant) they added Pepcid to relieve the acid in my stomach because my throat was burning and as of today they increased my Zofran dosage and put me back on Reglan. So, it can be difficult to keep the nausea under control!
My Ob had me start with vitamin b6. i ended up on zofran as well though.
I took zofran. Saved my life!!!!
Until you go to the doctor, maybe you can try gum and/or saltine crackers with Ginger Ale? That helps me when I'm nauseous. Also ice. Good luck and best wishes!
Im 4w5d and boy the nausea is out of this world!! I finally started vomiting this morning I couldnt even make pancakes cause the smell was setting me off the deep end!!
She can recommend a few medicines. She will probably start with zofran which didnt work with my first pregnancy ... but is a life saver right now in my 2nd trimester. I had hyperemesis so my situation was pretty extreme but see what she says. If you can try some of the natural things first I would do that. Honestly no matter what we say everyone's body reacts differently. None of the natural stuff worked for me. Not even gingerale. But it may for you. Good.luck.
My doctor prescribed me medication. I took it twice but hated the way it made me feel. I did find that eating things with a vinegar base saved my life! Pickles, jalapenos, some carrot and cauliflower California mix in a jar...anything with vinegar. Also, drink 8 to 10 glasses of water a day. Ice cold water works best for me. I actually try and drink about 12 cups now because the blood flow in your body practically doubles in your second trimester. Grin and bear it. Mine lasted a whole four months. I'm 31 weeks now and the nausea is back for some reason. Good luck and be blessed.
