So nervous!!

I don't know if the enterovirus 68 is in your area but there have just been two confirmed cases in my county. I am so nervous of getting this thing...I know that it's really only children that contract the virus but I'm still nervous! I feel like I'm becoming that crazy overprotective mom already!

They said it's easier to get the flu then Ebola. It's not airborne. You can get it thru blood, saliva and stuff like that

Ebola is difficult to contract. The US has actually had a few cases of hemorrhagic fevers (over the past few years) that people aren't even aware of because they never spread beyond one person. Unless you are working directly with the patient there isn't much of a concern.

I'd be more afraid of Ebola especially since they just had a Confirmed case in Texas...

Its a little frightening, but people blow it way out of proportion. Most kids who have it don't even know, they only test people with severe cases (since the test itself costs $4000 and is only done by some county health depts and the CDC). Its no more concerning than influenza, which sends even more kids to the hospital each season.

We have it in my state. Haven't had a case in my city though but it could pop up at anytime. Those affected are now having paralysis but they don't know if its related to the virus. I hope its just temporary.  I tell my daughter constantly to cover her mouth when coughing or sneezing and make sure she's not sharing drinks or anything with other kids and to wash wash wash her hands and sanitize them.
