I'm 39 weeks and dilated to one. What can I do besides sex and castor oil to make myself go into labor? I can't wait anymore I'm miserable

I hear ya! I'm 39w5d and I'm going crazy! I'm also 1cm dilated and not progressing.  I've been drinking the raspberry leaf tea, taking evening primrose oil tablets, walking about 3 miles a day and having sex. I've been doing this since 38 weeks. Unfortunately it seems like the baby wants to come when he/she wants to come :/ I'm starting to lose faith in all theses theories. Good luck! I hope we both get to meet our babies very soon!

You can also drink organic raspberry leaf tea. I never heard castor oil I always heard evening primrose capsules soften the cervix. You can take it vaginal & orally. Walking & squats help. I do my squats on a pregnancy ball.

Please don't use castor oil. All you are doing is torturing yourself. Sperm works bc it softens the cervix. Also pineapple was always recommended by ob nurses. But if the lungs aren't ready you won't. Somehow they release a hormone to day they are developed and ready. You can be dilated that way fir weeks. But you nade it this far. Enjoy what you got left, bc then the real exhaustion and work starts.
