Cloth diapers, breastfeed, coupons, sales, deals, thrift store. I budget everything and handle all the finances. We barely scrap by but it's working for now :-)

U go geekmom1213, I used to do extreme couponing. I wit my job today and I might actually start doing it again.  I might look into doing the Craigslist selling thing. Who knows? I graduate in DEC and until then I don't know if I want to even consider looking for a job. I'm due in feb. I'm tired of settling for less. The holiday season is coming up so a seasonal job might be a good idea! ;)

I am a working mom but also manage to keep our budget in line by using cloth diapers and cloth wipes, buying used, watching sales, making meal plans, growing what food we can and buying shares at local farms to enjoy fresh local produce at extremely reasonable prices. Managing our debt by focusing on paying off higher-interest loans first and paying extra anytime we can. Turning the lights off. Turning the heat down. Upgrading to higher-efficiency appliances, snowblowing and shoveling the driveway ourselves instead of paying for a plow guy. Using cloth napkins and towels instead of disposable paper ones. Bartering, swapping, and selling what we don't use to obtain what we need.

I've made some decent money selling crocheted items that I just make in my spare time....I get busy and dead times of the year, but it's pretty cheap to start off, and if you already know how to crochet it makes it easier! Also done people make money with other crafts such as tutus, headbands, etc.!! Good luck, I'm sure you will make it work!

I have also been wondering about this. I would love to help our income. I definitely budget and things. Buying products that are about to expire then are 30%-50% off is a great way to save (the products are always still fine!). But I wish I could do more. I'm still trying to think of something. Babysitting is a good one. I also thought about data entry from home if I could find a job like that...

I do day care off and on and look for good deals on stuff for the kids. I don't really have to help out cause my SO has a really good job but I don't see the point in buying new clothes for our girls when I can get them cheaper and still in good condition.

Am extremely frugal (husband says cheap and don't enjoy myself), have sold personal belongings (collectable dolls were the most recent) and since my mother is getting older, I clean her house and help her husband with invoices for his business and she pays me. I also do things like buy used items, go for the sale/genetic items at grocery stores, etc but I don't really count that stuff for myself bc I would do/did that when I was working and going to school anyways. Maybe my husband is right...maybe I am cheap lol

I babysat on the side while I stayed home. I also receive ssi for one of my children who is disabled so that helps more than anything. We don't qualify for welfare so we budget and only spend when needed. I went back to work when the youngest started kindergarten and will be returning after this one comes again. However, now we work opposite shifts to avoid daycare costs and it seems to be working out right now

Budget. I am the one who handles the money. My husband doesn't even know when he gets paid lol. I stick to a budget for groceries ect. And am able to stretch dollars that way. We use to spend $150 a week on groceries and out of motivation to save for the new baby I was able to cut that down to about $90 a week. So I contribute An extra $240 a month that way :)

Cut coupons, watch for sales and buy used when I can. We also don't eat out hardly at all. Cooking all meals at home keeps our grocery budget to $100 a week for 2 adults and a 5 year old and 2 year old.

I have occasionally watched other kids in the home periodically. I wouldn't ever want to do it full time forever but it is a great way to make $ without having to leave the house and your kids get to play with a new friend. Good luck!
