Steroids

I am 31 weeks 6 days, and the doctor just told me that my cervix has a funneling and that I have to take steroids shots and be put on bed rest. I'm a lil concern about the shots. Has anyone had this happen to them?

I was also prescribed progesterone suppositories that I have to insert into my vagina every 24 hours. It helps to maintain my cervix where its at. How much of ur cervix is left? Mine measured at 2.2 cm

My doctor noticed my cervix funneling at 27 weeks and I was admitted into the hospital for 3 days to be monitored to make sure I wasn't laboring. They gave me the betamethasone shots while in there. I had 2 doses. I'm now 32 weeks 2 days and on bed rest myself for the rest of my pregnancy. I recommend u get the shots just in case ur little one decides to cone early. I helps with there lung function greatly and betters there chances of breathing on there own when born preemie.
