I've tried but I can't find it either lol. Idk I just usually give up after a few try's.
I own one since im in nursing school. Im 28 weeks and couldnt find the heartbeat with it at all, only the doppler.
You might be mistaking what you read. I've never seen it written anywhere that a fetal heartbeat can be heard with a stethoscope, and certainly never had a doctor listen to my stomach with a stethoscope when I was pregnant. You might have read that the baby's heartbeat can be heard with a handheld doppler with a wand. They can be bought from hi-bebe's website for not a whole lot of money (I think $75 to 100) and are very nice to have.
^^^ yes you can hear your babies heart with one. There are still midwives that use one instead of a Doppler. And it even tells you on this app if you watch the video they put up for weeks 25-28 that you can.
You need a really good quality one. Some are not that great. You can use them to hear baby.
