Stomach Rant

You must be BSing me.
I go to the hospital for tooth pain and come back with a prescription for antibiotics.
I have to take them every eight hours for seven days with food.
Well, now I can't f**king take them because they're too hard on my stomach. If I take my medicine I'll throw up what little I've been able to eat and won't be able to eat again for hours, if I don't then I'm taking a chance of a wisdom tooth infection staying put.
This is the best medical science can do?? Either go hungry or potentially have a horrendous infection in your teeth?

Tea tree oil on a cotton ball & applied straight to the tooth helps soooooooo much.  Almost numbs it completely. They sell it pretty much at any drug store.  Bought mine at walgreens for $4. Best $4 I've spent. I had an abscessed molar that infected my jaw bone. Pain was AWFUL bit the tea tree Oil helped so much to take away the pain.

They say with medicines that upset your stomach to have a probiotic with it. The best probiotic is yogurt. Try a yogurt with the meds and that should help. I'm on antibiotic for sinus infection and the meds upset my stomach as well. So that's what I do each day. Good luck and hope you feel better

Hi! If your doctor prescribe the antibiotic you should keep taking it and finish the complete dosage. If you are having problems with your stomage for it you could take some omeprazole pills 15 mins before you take the antibiotic so it covers your stomage. The swelling and pain on your mouth wont get better without your antibiotics... Keep doing washes (gagles) with warm water and salt.. It will help the swelling.
Hope you get better

When we were sick as kids my Dad always used to grate an apple for us but let it go brown before you eat it. Sounds foul but it helps settle the stomach enough to digest the medication so we didn't throw it up. Worked every time! Clever Dad :-)

I agree with 86Countrygirl. Put the oregano oil right on the tooth and that will help be warned though you will have very strong breath after lol. And with the coconut oil make sure it it extra virgin and cold pressed because it's more pure that way, and swish it like you would mouth wash after you brush. My Papa does it every day and the dentist told him after only three days of using it his gums and teeth have never looked better.

My dentist told me I can also take a cap full of peroxide mixed with a shot glass of water and gargle it to help

That would be awesome, I'm writing that down now.
I also read that warm salt water might help, and I'll be trying that later tonight.
I've already once gone over the maximum daily dose of Extra Strength Tylenol without realizing it and I'm worried about having too much medicine in me (don't know if it can do anything to my little guy), so I'm just about up for trying anything at this point.

If you want to go natural, oregano oil really helps with the pain and coconut oil is good for cleaning your teeth, which would help prevent infection.

It's crazy, isn't it?
My poor dentist is between a rock and a hard place, as my wisdom teeth are decaying and he can't remove them while I'm pregnant.
So I have to try everything I can think of to not feel like I'm being punched on the mouth repeatedly and keep being given medicine that doesn't work for the pain.
Now I get to choose between food and hoping that my teeth won't just decide to completely screw me in the next month.
