Oh I know what you mean. My doc didn't beleive me and wouldn't send me to a specialist until during a routine check up she looked at my throat and asked why it was so burned. I said from all the reflux I've been telling you about. My dentist later asked if there was anything that would have causes my teeth to decay so badly (my teeth are see through at the bottoms, I think they suspected bullemia). Specialist sent me to barium swallow, endoscopy, and then banished me from his practice Bc i refused to do a colonoscopy. Next specialist said barium swallows are counter productive and very damaging to a Gerd patient, and that I didn't need a colonoscopy. Eventually I ran into a diet for leaky gut syndrome by Dr mark hyman. It changed my life, repaired my stomach, and I had unintentionally gotten down to the lowest weight I had ever been at. Baking soda is also a miracle, the pharmeceuticals hate it Bc it's too widely available for them to market and mark up.

if you would consider going to a naturopathic dr you might get better treatment options other then pills. they can be a bit costly but ive had great success treating things with dietary changes alone. but like you said its tough to cut everything out especially now when pregnant but it maybe something to consider after your pregnancy if its something you had prior to the pregnancy.

I stopped consuming foods that aggravate it, then when it comes at random I  started taking tums and it helps a lot.  I get it pretty mildly but still it was so annoying that I decided to finally do something about it.  Try it.  It really does help..

Stay away from acidic foods...spicy foods..foods high in fat eat smallermeals and not alot at once...greasy foods isnt good either...my doctor prescribed me zantac to prevent it. Oh also sit up for about an hour considering it takes your body longer to digest foods. If u do decide to lay down just put a few pillows under ur head to elevate yourself so that your esophagus is higher than your stomach...i know its alot but it works
