Will my doctor do a membrane sweep? Like is there a minimum gestational age before theyll do it? Ill be 38 weeks tomorrow and have an appointment tomorrow. I am soft and dilated to 2-3 but am not thining. This is my third and last baby and i had to be induced with my first two but want to experience natural labor so im not trying to do anything to send me straight into labor but will help my body go into labor before they want to induce
Ive heard stories of women going straight into labor after a membrane sweep so is it safe to drive myself home afterwards?
I asked my doctor on Tuesday! She said they will do it at 38 or 39 weeks.

Ours wouldn't do it till 39wks. Guess it just depends on your dr and facility.
My doc will do it at 37 u just have to ask and see what they say!
