Im 32 years old and i am taking suboxen for opoid addiction its not time for my doctor to take me off of it and i just found out i am pregnant what is going to happen??????

I'm 35 weeks pregnant and on subs as well. All you need to do us switch from suboxone to subutex and should be fine. My ob orders frequent growth scans to make sure baby is growing well which he is. Now is def not the time to try and detox. Good lick

I was on suboxone when I got pregnant n then the doc switched me to subutex which is about the same but is better n I can breastfeed with it after n the baby may not even have withdrawal from it but I have slowly increased my dose because has u get bigger u will need more n it n doesn't hurt the baby what hurts the baby is when u feel withdrawal so does the baby so make sure u tell your doc so they can do what's best for u n baby

Yep lots of women give birth while on subs. I don't even think they wean you down. 2mg suboxone occupies 80% of you endorphin receptors. Detox is too much for the baby to handle. Good luck

I have heard of women using it while pregnant. They may try to slowly wean you off of it. I have heard it's not good for you or baby to just stop.
