Superstition or real?

I live in Los Angeles & tonight at 7 pm begins a lunar eclipse and according to many people I must wear red underwear or safety pins or a metal belt so it wont harm the baby. Has anyone else heard of this. Is it true? im a ftm i have the red underwear but do I have to run and buy safety pins and a metal belt or is this enough? Im so confused!!

The moon has nothing to do with pregnant moms its more of an energy thing. Dont worry about the moon, if it was to harm to you I highly doubt red underwear would protect you

Oops. Basically, Imho, it's pure superstitious nonsense.

There's no scientific basis that I can think of. First, if this were true every lunar eclipse all the babies would be born with defects. That's never happened. And, wearing something on your clothing doesn't affect your baby (unless it's like radioactive or something lol).
I'm not even going with "mete safe than sorry" on this one,

100 percent superstition. Going out during the day doesn't harm your baby, going out at night doesn't harm your baby. An eclipse involves the earth, sun, and moon, all of which you're exposed to daily without consequence. There's no reason why it should hurt you or the baby, so don't worry.

omg, lol please don't go into early labor worrying about that!
there would be soooo many unborn babies that would be harmed if something like that were true.

there's absolutely nothing that a lunar eclipse can cause to an unborn child, just as there's nothing that it can do to me or you. some people are so caught up in old wives tales & superstitions, that they forget STRESS can cause harm to you & the baby. it's science.. and I never read anything about that in college lol everrrr!!!

that stuff is so silly. yes, I've heard of it, plus the full moon thing, and many more. it's not real. relax, and don't run out for safety pins! relax mama, and just talk to those people tomorrow!! lol they'll stress you our for sure. ((((:
