Tall baby

So my bf and I are both tall and family members too and of course are baby boy is too. But I'm not too sure what to expect like I've reading to get certain brands of a car seat or bouncer because it'll fit taller babies but in terms of birth should I expect a c-section would it be safer? I found out baby's at 95 percentile in height already at 22 wks. I thinking he won't fit newborn clothing...would that be right? I'm guessing to buy bigger clothing but he's still inside.

My sister's baby was in the 95% and she did not need a c section.  My husband is 6'3" and I'm just over 6'0" so I'm sure our baby will be very long and tall too. We haven't bought very many "newborn" outfits so we can see what actually fits.

My husband and I are both over 6 ft. And our 2 older kids have always been in the 90-100% for hight I agree with what everyone else said we just got a regular carrier carseat for both girls ( they are close enough in age they used the same one). They were both to long for it by about 8-9 months. So we just put them in a rear facing convertible carseat as far as clothes mine fit new born clothes for about 2 weeks because they were so long. 0-3 were big around but long enough. My now 3 1/2 year old is in size 4 or 5 and my 18 month old is in 2-3t clothes. They are both tall and skinny but the bigger they get the more they fill out the bigger clothes. Having tall babies is fun! I wouldn't worry to much about buying stuff to accommodate a taller baby just don't buy alot of preemie/ new born clothes and you should be fine.

My son has been in the 90-97% for height since birth. I had no issues giving birth. I don't think height will affect that. Girth is more the issue. I have had issues with cloths being to small. He is about to go into 3T and he's only one and a half right now. The only other issue I had was with the door bouncer. By the time he was old enough to use it he was too tall for it. Otherwise there was nothing we couldn't make work. He grew out of his baby car seat fast but a lot of convertible car seats weight limits start at 5 pounds so just switch to that once he can't fit in the baby ones anymore. I wouldn’t buy any one piece sleepers either or newborn onesies. They won't fit. Most things you need have a wide enough rage you will be fine and unless you're Dr says otherwise I doubt you'll have trouble giving birth vaginally.

Hopefully you can deliver naturally if that's your original plan. C sections take awhile to recover and seeing my manager do that with chubby 10 & 11 lb babies wasn't what I want.

Birthing position can accommodate a larger baby..  In the hospital on your back won't allow it... The Dr will say your too small and go for the c section.

I'm short but the tallest female in my family, he's short but his parents are very tall and so is his first son.. So hopefully my baby won't get the short end lol but too early and Ill refuse most ultrasounds anyway save for one to see where the placenta is later on.

Good luck and I hope you get to birth the way you want to and have a healthy baby :)

My partner is quite tall and in all our scans babys legs are measuring nearly 2 weeks further along. Im 33 weeks 4 days now. Midwife even joked that i would need to cut the feet out of the babygros and use socks lol i just bought a few newborns babygros for after birth and mostly bought 0-3 month sizes clothes to get more use.
