Thinking of having an epidural and pain killer free dilvery, help!

So I'm 31 weeks pregnant and weighing my options. My daughter is 12 years old and I barely recall the pain, which is due to the fact that I asked to be drugged up before I even entered the hospital. Now, I want to try delivering fully natural. Any suggestions or tips that would help me stick with this plan?

Jessicups that's a great answer. Pretty much sums it up. I am aiming for my 2nd natural drug free birth this week. And I would totally agree! Trust your body and don't lay down.. water is an amazing pain killer.

Good luck.

Stay home for as long as possible, a great rule is 3-1-1. A contraction every 3 minutes, that lasts for 1 minute for 1 hour long. If you feel like labor is moving quicker then that make sure to play it by ear, you don't wanna have baby on the car ride. Practice pain management techniques every single day, breathing techniques, meditation, ext. Have a great birth partner that supports your desires. Know that it will be painful, but that you can do it, and that the pain isn't permenant. Mostly stay relaxed, if you start to stress or tense up it will make the pain worse. Utilize the shower, hot water bottle and movement, do not just lay down, it will make the pain worse. Also make sure the staff know your plans and desires, so they can be supportive of them. Good luck
