My friend fractured her tail bone. I believe that's more common then ribs. She had a lot of physio afterwards.
Fractures are not a common thing to happen with vaginal births. If a women fractures her ribs it would more likely be caused a big increase in pressure or maybe she has some kind of bone problem. The only other kind of fractures that occur are pelvic or tailbone fractures & that is from the baby being large in size or the women is of small stature.
Never heard of it. 10 kids in my family and 10 kids in my husband's family all natural.
You'd have to ask your doctor but it wouldn't be very common. Could be a number of things to cause it but most likely it's excess pressure. I wouldn't worry about it honestly.
