Threatened miscarriage

I recently found out I am pregnant. I am 6 weeks along. I was in the ER last Thursday, and my hcg level was 3200. On Sat, it was 4400. My Doctor said it should be way higher than that. Also, there was no cardiac activity on my sono, which they expected to see by now. Does anyone have anything similar? Any advice to offer? Should I prepare for a miscarriage? Please help!

There was a heartbeat! It's a bit slower and the baby is a bit smaller than it should be, but it's there!!

My numbers went up to 9000, but it took 4 days instead of 2, and they're still not as high as they would like. They're sending me for another sonogram on Monday to see if there's any cardiac activity.

I have learned that Google is your worse enemy during pregnancy but it can also be helpful sometimes.

Thank you! They're retesting my blood tomorrow, so fingers crossed!! Hopefully the numbers will be great and they'll see a heartbeat next week. Man is this some scary stuff! I feel like all I am doing is researching numbers online.

Some pregnancies have low HcG levels and go on to have a healthy pregnancy. Best of luck!

Oh wow. That makes me feel a little better. I'm just concerned because there's no heartbeat, and because they said it should be over 12000 now. I'll keep you posted!

I hope so, but I know the date of conception, so that's not in question. :/ I'm just so scared.

You may be earlier than expected. I had an early positive and when they tested my HcG levels they were showing I should be about 6-7 weeks but I was actually about 4 weeks and went in for several ultrasounds. Hang in there that may just be your case as well!
