By the way, the Basil test is free since it's just a chart they print up for you :-)
Ask your OB about the basil test...it's where you take your temperature each morning before getting up and it will help show when you are ovulating. Your temperature will be a little higher when you are and your OB can help guide you from there as well. Otherwise it can be here real guessing game as to when to do the deed and have to be effective. Plus tracking your temperature can be more effective than an app trying to guess at it. This helped us a lot for getting pregnant with our first, because my cycles were a little longer than average. We did about 3 months of the basil test and two cycles of clomid and then bam, we were pregnant! Now we r 32 weeks pregnant with our second and that was a completely easier story! :-) Best of luck to you!

As a part of the weight thing, medications and things can stick around in fat cells and could effect your chances. My DH and I weren't trying to prevent pregnancy either, but I didn't get preggo until I lost some weight and held that number for a bit. In any case, getting to a healthy BMI for your height is always a good idea. Forget clothing sizes, eat healthy, exercise regularly, and try not to stress. All of those things will help not only getting pregnant, but having a healthy pregnancy as well.
I agree with Nellyzz, get a free app. I was using the mydays app to track my periods after getting off the pill in anticipation of trying for a baby. The app also estimates when you are ovulating. I made sure we had sex around then and we got pregnant right away. Best of luck!
My husband I and had tried for almost 2 years I'm not a small girl either (xl 1x). I would be anxious each month waiting for a positive never happened. We decided in March of this year we wanted to become healthy so we switched to a lot of veggies and grilled chicken and cut out alol of junk. In April we decided to put our house up for sale. So we focused on that instead of having a baby. April 30th came around I was a day late took a test and I was pregnant! I am now 35 weeks and I'm being induced in 2 weeks! I think because I wasn't stressing about becoming pregnant nor did I look at my app for my ovulation dates it helped me get pregnant. Just relax and take a break from trying but not from sex! Have sex without trying to get pregnant :) good luck!
Aside from weight, stress can really negatively impact your chances of getting pregnant. Obviously it's easier said than done, but you may want to target the source of your anxiety and find methods to relieve it. Exercise is a great stress reliever. Don't put too much pressure on yourself. Find something you enjoy doing, maybe dancing? The weight and stress overtime should lessen, increasing your chances of gett pregnant. Wishing you the best!
ohh the app worked! NO drugs needed! keep us updated. I looked at all my options and this was the first I tried! i am currently 17w! I will use it again for baby #2 :))
I was extremely skinny when I was trying I put on weight and that helped me. I downloaded fertility friend app FOLLOW IT RELIGIOUSLY!!! I got pregnant 1 month later!!!! workd for me give it a go goodluck hun!!!
Get into the healthy weight range asap. Cut out all processed and fried food snd drink and alcohol. If you smoke or do drugs then quit. Take up daily gentle exercise such as swimming and walking. To combat the anxiety try some yoga or meditation (check out you tube for free tutorials). Getting back to these basics is probably your best bet until you can afford further testing. Take a prenatal vitamin as well.
It will happen when its ment to. Were u on birthcontrol b4 u started trying. Sometimes that sticks around in ur system. Im a big girl too and alto my so and i wernt "trying" we also wernt preventing it at all. We decided to let nature take its course and if it was ment to be it would be. It took almost 3yrs and Im finally 30weeks today. Losing weight will help also it made no difference in my situation bc i had lost 60lbs and still didn't get pg. Then put it back on and bam lol. Try just relaxing and really enjoying the act of making a.baby. Try spicing it up. Maybe different positions and all sorts of things.
Have you tried to do some research on fertility medication such as Clomid? I was having difficultly getting pregnant with my first one and ordered Clomid without prescription and was able to conceive first time around. With my second pregnancy it took about 4 rounds and I'm due Dec. 10th. Good luck
Being over weight has a lot to do with it, me n my fiance were trying for a year with no luck, it wasn't till we actually started planning the wedding that I got serious about losing weight. So I got on the pill while planning, we got married in April I had lost 30 lbs! I stopped birth control in May n we got pregnant in july. R u having regular periods? If not then u may have pcos, that Can make it hard to conceive with out some sort of intervention, easy stuff like taking meds to balance things out in ur body. At the very least get checked out at ur ob. Hope this helped!
