thinning cervix at 23 weeks

High risk pregnancy. Taking hydroxy progesterone injections and got the news my cervix is starting to thin. Anyone else going through this? I will be 24 weeks tomorrow I'm hoping I don't go into labor this early!!

I am praying that it works out. I previously had an iud in as well as a leap done at the same time.  I am praying that my cervix has thickened. So I do no what u are going thru. Try to remain calm. U dint need the added stress!  Good luck

well that doesn't sound too bad, you didn't even get it to the bed rest. :) try not to worry too much and it doesn't mean you'll go into labor this early and if it does happen earlier babies turn out to be just fine. only advice I can give to you is - listen to your body and it you feel it's too much, take a rest. good luck and keep us posted. :)

The doctor just said he is going to keep monitoring me every other week. He said no bed rest yet. I also have an IUD that moved next to the amniotic sac after I was 18 weeks along. So we are just taking it day by stay. Luckily she is almost 2# and a little on the large side.

I had to have a cerclage put in at 12 weeks for the same reason. On top of getting progesterone shots and taking prometrium twice a day and being on bed rest. Even with all the precautions its never a gaurentee. I think bed rest may be your only option : /. I pray God keeps your baby safe and healthy.
