Bleeding after cervical exam!!!

I'm 38 weeks pregnant, had my doctor appointment today. When she checked my cervix I started bleeding. She made me lay down for a good 15 mins to see if it would stop or slow down, which it did. I'm home now she told me to rest and not move too much for the rest of the day. I'm 60% effaced and dilated to a 1. Anyone else had bleeding after a cervical exam and had everything turn out fine. I'm a ftm so I'm a bit scared.

Thank you ladies! I haven't bled threw a pad but was bleeding pretty good at the doctors office. It's pretty much stopped now, and what is there is brown. Doctor said my cervix is very soft, and that may have caused the bleeding.

I had heavy bleeding which was bright red. Dr says spotting is ok but not heavy bleeding.  Baby is fine though.

You likely bled because you are only dilated to 1cm. I got checked on Monday and I was 1cm and 30% effaced at 38 weeks. I was sore and could barely walk for two days and started spotting brown blood today. This is my second. As long as you don't have to change a soaking pad after an hour it should be fine.

It's normal to bleed after that but even if you are still bleeding and it does not stop everything will be jist fine they will just induce if they are concerned. Your baby is full term so try not to worry
