Too early for Braxton hicks?

Ok so I'm 21 weeks with my 3rd baby, for the past hour and half I've been having cramps like period pain 5-10 mins apart is this normal? Is it just false labour? I don't remember this happening from previous pregnancies.  Is this normal? I'm trying to not freak out . Any advice would be very much appreciated:)

I got them almost from the very beginning probably around 12 weeks! So hopefully my body has had plenty of practice by now and things go fast and smoothly!

Thanks everyone!  I had a shower and drank lots of water and feel better now. I hate having pregnancy scares.

My braxton hicks aren't painful just uncomfortable because my entire stomach gets hard for about a minute. No period-like cramps

I heard if you have more than 4 per hour you should call doctor.
But around 16-20 weeks i  got cramps sometimes without stomach tightening that i just blamed on a growing uterus.

Let us know what hospital says!

I just read WebMD on their take of preterm labor and you don't have to bleed, lose your plug, or have your water break to have real contractions that are opening your cervix prematurely. The fact that they are happening so frequently you can monitor them is what would make me call my midwife. Your Dr may just tell you to lay down after drinking 2 or three glasses of water though and try and relax for an hour to see if they stop though. So it's up to you if you wanna call first and call again if they say go drink and relax and monitor or just monitor first to tell them you've done it already. Being dehydrated can cause them as well and the pain may be gas that's trapped low. But you will only know what exactly your feeling and where. I hate when my midwife say it may be gas. I know the difference lol but like I saod, my bh don't hurt at all and are spaced randomly. The fact that you have cramp pain and can monitor them on a schedule I'd be calling

And I've had no bleeding or loss of plug or water breaking do all those things happen in preterm labor?

I started getting them around 29wks but to me they don't hurt at all, maybe uncomfortable if im trying to bend or something or am leaning. Just makes my uterus hard all over and lasts 30seconds to a minute and are totally random, I can't track them like you can on the clock. I was told if they start hurting like period cramps to call my midwife, that it might be preterm labor
