Too much weight gain

Hello ladies. 2nd pregnancy. So I am 28 weeks at 161 lbs. My starting weight was 135 or so. I was sick for the 17 weeks and went down to a little over 120-125, can notr really remember. Dec 2 appointment I was 130, then Jan 2 I was 139, two weeks ago I shot up to 155, and marking this past Friday I am 161. I gained 22 lbs sin Dec 2. My doctor saying to slow down and switch my eating. It's hard I do nit want another big baby that will force this time to have a c-section. My last child got stuck, but so far he is very alert and healthy. Has anyone had this problem? What did you do?

I'm the opposite. I've lost over 15 lbs which normally I wouldn't mind since I've been trying to lose the weight from my meds anyway but if I lose much more it might become dangerous for me and the baby. I'd look in to seeing a dietitian. I'm making an appointment with one after my ultrasound. My mom had to see one too for the same problem and she said he was a life saver

That weight gain still isn't too bad... Hopefully it completely slows down now... I know how you feel tho gaining so much within such a short time... My weight has finally stopped jumping so much... I've gain a total of 67lbs and I'm 30w&6d today... I would look into what these ladies have said... It may just be a lot of water... Good luck!!!

Try eating Fresh Grapefruit Sweetie. It helps your body prevent excess water retention. And aids in the digestion process.
I've also taken Diuretics after giving birth to get rid of the excess water. Dropped nearly 40lbs.

I gained lots of "fluid" weight last pregnancy. All over my body not just my legs or feet. It was almost 10 kilos worth as after i had my son i went on fluid tabs & dropped that 10 kilos within weeks then was left with a stubborn 5 that was obviously proper weight gain. This pregnancy my doctor is telling me my weight gain is too much & ill have a massive baby but i know its not all fat so i just agree with him but know within myself its fluid. Are u convinced its weightgain or could it be fluid? Are u peeing often?
