Is it true when u have a lot of heart burn ur baby will be born with a full head or hair? What about hiccups?  Does that go the same for them...just curious.  We r having a girl and I haven't had heart burn at all but occassional hiccups yes.

It's an old wives tale, and absolutely absurd. Heartburn, indigestion, hiccups, etc. All due to your digestive system having to accommodate extra mass pushing on your organs. Intestines, stomach, liver, bladder and lungs all have to make room. They get overworked so you will notice all these side effects more frequently.

It is just an old wives tale. Stomach acid does not come in contact with the baby. But I do have to say, with my first I had no heart burn and she was bald for the first year. I did have heart burn with my second and she came out with a full head of hair. Coincidence? Maybe.. .

Not sure if it's true of not. My mother had our girls and never had heart burn. All of us came out bald as can be but when we all have a beautiful head of thick and soft hair now. Always have. So im not sure how accurate that is

I had the worst heartburn in the world with my daughter and she had one little curl on the top of her head. This one...my son...has hiccups all the time. I will let u know. Lol

I had horrible heartburn with both of my babies and both had tons of long hair. This pregnancy I've had heartburn since I was 4 weeks that is what actually triggered me to take a test. It's always been true for me. Good luck

I'm on baby number 4 and have had heartburn everytime and 3 kids were all bald as bald can be and we are guessing this one will be too lol. So I'm with this is false!!! and plus I just finished nursing school and they teach you this rumor is false. You have a 50-50 chance your baby will have hair.. There is nothing else to it..

I have only had heartburn once my entire pregnancy after eating something ridiculously spicy & at my 3D/4D last week our daughter had some hair :-)

100% False for me lol I had AWFUL heartburn with both of my pregnancies and both my babies came out BALD... I have awful heartburn this pregnancy as well and will find out soon if baby is bald or not.

could be true. I never had heartburn with my daughter and she barely had any hair. :-)

According to a research study released back in 2007 or 2008 heartburn signals that whatever produces hair for the baby is present. You can google the article. It's not 100% just more likely.
