placenta previa (

I'm 11 weeks. I woke up Saturday morning bleeding. Which freaked me out more since i had a Misscarriage dec of last year with our first. Turns out the baby is as healthy as can be, heartbeat 169 and moving all over the place (thank god!) but, the ER doc said i have placenta previa. Has anyone else dealt with this in the first trimester? Doc said that as long as i take it easy the next couple weeks i should be okay into my 2nd trimester and beyond. Any advice is appreciated!!

Thanks everyone!!! I am fully grasping my new life as a couch potato. I have a dr appt tomorrow the 20th and an ultrasound on the 21st. Crossing my fingers everything goes well!! This darn stubborn baby that i love so much.

They said my wife had this around 11 weeks, and last ultrasound showed it has moved up. At 17 weeks. It's too early to know know sure.

Hi I also have the same, I went to the ER on the 9th of this month, I was told to rest as much as possible.  No sex, due to sex or orgasms can cause the placenta to abrupt and cause a misscarage.  Elevate your feet drink plenty of fluids, water preferably. And by about 20 weeks it should migrate up into the correct spot....

I have it too at 13 weeks. As you get further along your placenta should move up. Only a small percent of women's placenta's don't move and will require a c-section. Definitely take it easy, no sex or strenuous activities and no running and you will be fine. :)

The similarities are almost exact, except I haven't had any bleeding just sharp pains, I'm a day shy of 11weeks also, I went to the ER yesterday and they did an ultrasound and found that and subcorionic hematoma, I have very little knowledge of either but some of the ladies here told me it'll more than likely fix itself. I have an appt with my doctor tomorrow so I have to wait and see what he suggests. Good luck!
