Uncontrollable Shaking

The other night I woke up shivering and shaking terribly. I could not stop. I tried to warm myself up but nothing seemed to help. The shaking lasted about 10mins. This happened with my 2nd pregnancy as well. I have heard this could be hormone related but I am not sure. Has anyone else had this issue and if so what werw you told it may be?

I also had it after labor which is normal.. My teeth would not stop clicking.. That's because of all the trauma your body just went through.. Everything hits you then

BTW anxiety is not something we are consciously aware of all the time. Our body responds to even our unconscious.

Not to worry anyone but shaking could be a sign of pre-eclampsia.. So maybe try to rule that out with your doctor.. All the best

I seem to be cold all the time. My house is kept at 70 day and night and I still am cold all the time. I am always checking the thermostat bc of it. My husband sleeo with just one blanket as do both my kids but I am always in pjs and have at least two blankets if not more.

I have it. Its anxiety unfortunately. I have had this happen three times while pregnant. Before I was pregnant it happened for about a week when my house was broken into. Dr says nothing to do about it but try to be calm and relaxed. She also said as.long as I'm.breathing nothing will happen to the baby. Not very reassuring.

Right after I gave birth to my 2nd born I started shaking uncontrollably, mostly in my legs. The midwife said that was hormones. Have you asked your doctor if it could be something more serious? Blood disorder or neurological or genetic? Those can be reasons for people shaking. Better to get it checked out by an MD.

People keep telling me it's hormones. I've been shivering cold (mostly in the evening )for two weeks now! BRR. I swore our thermostat was broken. I have to keep myself from turning it up to sauna level. I didn't realize it was just me until I went to my sister's house and felt the same way.  I was strutting around in fleece and my winter coat swearing it was the same temperature in the house as it was outside (a balmy 25 that day) . She thought I was crazy and pointed out that her 6 week old babe was just wearing a onesie and her cheeks were flush because even she was warm. Lol. I've got no advice but layers after a hot shower seem to help.
