I take vit d supplements too, since I have always been low (I was at 14 before supplements, which is quite deficient). Newer research suggests that the core problem for some people might actually be magnesium deficiency, because vitamin d cannot be absorbed or used by the body without magnesium. It uses the magnesium as fuel, which depletes us of that mineral. Magnesium deficiency causes its own set of problems very similar to vitamin d deficiency. (Also cramps, constipation, and heart flutters) I always take magnesium citrate and calcium with vitamin d now. It helps. Google vitamin d and magnesium for more info.

Same here my whole pregnancy Ive been on supplements. Unless you're out in the sun for at least 30min a day most likely you will be vitamin d deficient.
