WATER

Hey everyone.  I'm 12 weeks along & this is my first pregnancy.  I'm a little afraid I'm not drinking enough water.  It's super hard to drink as much is needed.  Advice? Tips? Anyone know how this effects the baby? Thanks :)

I have a hard time drinking water too...what I do is I have a big mason jar I fill with water and throw some lemon slices and some strawberry slices...it gives the water such a good lite flavor...I just refill it a few times a day...it's like the only way to get water in me...lol..good luck momma....

I dont drink half as water as i should coz i just find it so hard but im not dehydrated..just watch the color of your urine,if its light coloured then your not dehydrated and all is fine but if its dark then push the fluids, just knock back a couple of glasses of water and keep an eye on the colour of your urine..thats what i do anyway and this is my 4th baby, always works fine

Thanks guys.  I added the water app on my phone.  Hopefully that helps :). I usually have giant water bottles around so I'm good there.

Keep a bottle of water with you at all times. I try to drink 2 bottles by noon. Water intake helps with hydration and fluid around the baby, so you need to up your intake. Your body is also increasing blood supply and needs the extra water. Try adding orange slices or lemons if it gets boring.

Dehydration can possibly trigger early labor. What helped me drink extra water was actually logging how many oz I drink in a day. I found an app called "water log" to keep tabs on how much. I do that plus I have a cup where on the sides tells me how much water I drink. I've gone from drinking about 30-40 oz all the way up to over 100 oz. It has all so helped my colostrum come in.
