Was this the baby turning?

At my last US appointment, my midwife informed me that my baby is breech.  (I'm 27 weeks and still have plenty of time for him to turn.)  Last night while I was laying in bed, I felt a huge wave up my stomach that literally took my breath away and made my husband jump out of bed to make sure I was ok.

I've never felt a movement like that.  Could it have been the baby turning?  Did you notice yours turn, and what did it feel like?

@Cass_plus_one, sounds pretty similar!  My son doesn't tend to move a lot until afternoon/evening, so I'll have to pay attention and see if his kicks have changed.  Thanks!

When my son turned it was exactly what you described it was like an Olympic swimmer head of off the side of my belly and just boom it was very intense but I noticed that his kicking went from feet in my crotch to feed in my ribs and that's how I knew he was headdown
