complications && staying positive

Im 28 weeks (1st child bbygirl) and have had a rough pregnancy i found out i was pregnant around 5 weeks and soon after started my syptoms i had really bad naseau (hyperemisis) throwing up all day every day instead of gaining weight i was losing but my doctor had told me not to worry that id gain in back with time. Around 10 weeks i spotted and again around 12 and 14 weeks i started to worry and thought id miscarry :( and to top it off i found out im o negative blood which most people are positive so if enough of mine and my babys blood mixed my body could start making antibodies and attack my babys blood :( luckily i got a rogam shot early enough to help prevent antibodies from forming and with time i stopped spotting :) time passed and i still had horrible vommiting my belly was growing but i could see the weight loss in my face arms n collar bone i could care less knowing that my baby was well and growing. Then around 20 - 22 weeks they gave me a more detailed ultrasound and told me i was having a girl but that they found two abnormalities in her brain :( a cyst and problem with her ventricles which were sometimes linked to down syndrome and chromosome problems all this made me cry and be somewhat depressed the doctors started to talk to me about down syndrom and trisomy 18 which trully broke my heart and made me think what did i do wrong :( i cried and worried alot for a month just thinking and thinking what was going on. i had another ultrasound done a month after to checkup on her growth,  her brain and her ventricles which were now normal and cyst had gotten smaller :) i also had taken a blood sample that came out negative for any abnormality with her chromosomes :) i am now 28 wewks and have gained around 8 pounds and doing well. I have an apointment this friday to check on the cyst which they said would most likely be gone by now and i have faith that i will have a heathy baby girl :) i just hope that anyone that has gotten any news that alarms them trys to stay calm and positive because it not always a 100% sure thing that there will be problems. It can be depressing to have issues during pregnancy but stay positive and have faith nothing is 100% sure. Stay positive :) wishing everyone healthy babies ^.^

You are amazing. You have great faith, it is inspiring. Happy things are getting better for you. Prayers for that cyst to be completely gone♡ thank you for sharing makes me feel so thankful for my baby girl. I have only had one trip to the ER, I had a really bad fall. That experience was traumatic enough can't imagine going through what you have been through. Sending lots of good vibes and prayers your way♡ you are amazing and your baby girl is precious.

Thank you for sharing this. So glad you and baby are doing great. It really cheered me up and restored my faith. This is my 5th time in hospital this pregnancy - 15wks ripped pelvis muscles, 18wks right side pain, 21wks surgery to remove gallbladder, 24wks dehydration, and now 27wks with preterm labour. I also have preeclamplsia and baby has some minor abnormalities. Pregnancy can be an extremely challenging time but I know from my first baby that it is so completely worth it! Hang in there and keeping my fingers crossed the rest of your pregnancy goes smoothly :)
