Water vs. heartburn

I know I don't drink enough water throughout the day, but I try as best as I can. During the night is when I really notice were I get so dry and thirsty. I try, and drink some water, and it's immediate heartburn. I really don't drink anything else other the Oj. Which I've noticed I can drink at night, and no problems. Doesn't make sense.

Do any of you deal with this? What are some of your tips and tricks?

I noticed if I lay on my right side it isn't as bad, but like you said octobermommy12 sitting up a little while after drinking kinda keeps it at bay.

Thanks mommas!

@nannewmom actually for me the Oj calms the acid down, (of all people, my grandfather suggested it) and I was just thinking the other day how the best stock to buy into is Tums. Some days it's like popping them like candy. I'll absolutely try ice water instead of always room temp. That maybe the fix!

@2ndtimemoma927 I will have to check into the coconut water. I've tried it in the past, and it's just to sweet for me. Maybe I'll get a different brand or something. It was pretty nasty.

I got the same problem but I drink water all day too but am still thirsty at night. I do tums like everyone else said and I prop myself up in bed or the couch with a ton of pillows....lying flat makes my acid reflux worse. I sleep practically sitting up. Also I use zantac for days I know I've eaten things that trigger acid reflux

I do the same thing. I try to drink water throughout the day, but end up being very thirty at night. I get instant acid reflux when i drink water at night though. Try some coconut water if you can, it is great for hydration. I usually drink that during the day and try milk at night. I also live by tums, they are amazing. Good luck!
