Water

Does anyone know if there is such thing as drinking to much water during pregnancy? I drink about 1500ml a day.

Thanks, I go to the Dr Thursday and will make sure to discuss. I have found I do it to help with nausea and heartburn, because I hate medicine. I told the girl at my work if I fill my 16Oz cup more than 6 times a day to cut me off haha

Actually,  you CAN drink too much water.

Drinking too much too quickly can lead to seizures and even death.

sdraper,  2 gallons a day is too much.  Have you discussed this with your doctor?  Ideally,  you should be drinking about 90 ounces of water a day,  and you're drinking about 250 ounces.

It's way too hard on your kidneys to do this.

If you're craving that much water it sounds like there is a problem,  perhaps gestational diabetes.

I didn't know you couldn't drink so much,  and so to stave off a migraine I drank about 1/2 gallon of water in an hour,  and ended up with a grand mal seizure and in the hospital.

Best wishes ladies - if you're drinking this much you probably should figure out why.

There is never such a thing as too much, any excess water you ingest will just be urinated out. Drink away Mama!
