maybe, maybe not. definitely not guaranteed. I'm sure my chosen birthing position, and the fact that i took prenatal yoga played a major role in me not tearing, along with other factors. i just know for myself, i listened to what my doc said with regards to when to push and was also very conscious of everything i felt and listened to my body. :-)
I don't think tearing has to do if u get meds or not I had mine natural and tore completly and she was 6 lbs
I had my first natural with no tearing. Everyone is trying to scare me into getting an epidural this time around bc baby boy will be bigger. I'm not swayed. I just don't want to tear!!! and feel as though I'll be more in control without any medications.
I think natural child birth has a lot to do with your mindset and reasoning. I definitely didn't think it would be "easier" so to say, but knew I wanted to experience every aspect of the birthing process.
I had two natural and three with epidural. I hope to do this one natural also.
You all give me hope that I can try to do it natural. Im a ftm and everyone keeps telling me "just get an epidural and you'll be fine". Its like no one even tries anymore
I had 3 naturall births and they all went fine and I'm hoping and praying that this last one will go smoothly as plan.
I did with my first. Long labor, had her at home. No meds no help and she was completely healthy. They insisted on a csec with my second, said her head wouldn't turn right. I'm determined to try for natural again as long as the Dr says its OK.
My first I had gas and morphine. I ended up with a horrible birth experience so this time I am determined to go natural. I did not feel the urge to push at all and ended up tearing quite badly due to this.
I have more skills and knowledge this time around, I know I can do it drug free!
