I have a diaper bag in my car, but I'm not bringing it into the hospital with me. Just my bag. I packed light because you don't stay long and I plan on washing everything when I get home.

Don't forget about camera and chargers!!!

Why do you pack a diaper back? I thought all hospitals provided for baby. The birthing center gives me everything for baby so I'm only packing a going home/picture outfit. My husband will bring a blanket on the day we go home along with the car seat.

The only thing I would add as ridiculous as it sounds is a little makeup. People come in and want photo after photo!!!!! With my second I broke every blood vessel in my face and I would have loved to be able to cover that up so some of my pictures I could display without all of that showing.

I swear by adult diapers. I saw so many people on pinterest recommending them so I tried it and they were amazing. Much better than the mesh panties the hospital gives. Protects your clothes from all the blood too.
