What to do

I'm 24 years old preg with my fifth child starting university in four weeks I'm unsure if I want to get a tubal but other types of birth control don't work I'm afraid I'm gonna fall pregnant while doing the university studies and not be able to continue. How would you make your decision?

I tried mirena after my last one and after six months I ended up having it taken out. I blead the entire six months like a light Oreos and she said it could continue up to two years before it's considered abnormal....no thanks!

I used the ring and loved it so much but I know not every birth control is right for some people. I had a horrible experience with the shot but others love it. Have you considered Nexplanon implant? My cousin got it and loves it. It works for like 3 years at a time.

I love when people say don't have sex....like seriously? If you are married you are gonna wanna have sex with your husband.people aren't gonna not have sex just because they don't want a baby...sex is also about bonding with your hubby its not just for making babies. Saying don't have sex is completely unrealistic. Just because we don't want a baby doesnt mean we shouldn't be able enjoy sex.

The copper iud one might be a good option since there's no hormones.

There is 2 types of iud theres the hormone one called mireana that one I heard causes problems the copper isnt that bad I had that one but I took it out bc me n bf were trying for a baby  it didnt hurt and to make sure it hasnt come out or moved you just make sure the strings are in place and if it bothers you . You can always go to dr to take it out

This is my 4th and I'm having the tubal done but then again I'll be 35 this year. If you're not ready to get it done, don't because you may regret it.  Try something long term like an IUD.

Well then the only option you really have then is get your tubes tied or just dont have sex or condoms but even condoms arent that great you can still get pregnant while using them.

I've tried like every type of pill and the shot and I can't deal with the hormones even low dose I had bad reactions on. I had trouble with the stupid ring. So I don't know what I'm gonna do. I might try an IUD except I'm scared of those my one friend had a lot of problems with hers and my sis had one and then after she got it removed and tried to get pregnant again she had 2 miscarriages. I heard about them causing pain during sex or eventually moving. I don't know. I wish there was a better way.

Why wouldn't you get your tubes tied?

Well I am prego with number 4 and I am going to do the mirena after this one is born. I really did my research and it hardly has any side affects and I talked to my ob about it and all she has is good things to say about it. I used to be against it as well.

I've tried pills, shot, patch, abstinence - lol I slipped one night after a night out for a friends birthday now I'm preg lol. I'm not comfortable using a sponge or ring and refuse to use an iud.

The birth control I tried with my last made me sick and constantly have gut rot. Like to the point I couldn't move from fetal position. I eventually want to go to med school but with paying out of pocket - per course plus rent bills and stuff for the kids it's hard. I'm trying to get in and show them my grades will stay high just to. Get an internal scholarship but idk how that will work. My timing kinda *****. I got admitted to uni then found out I was preg. I'm due aug 17 and was considering full time in September. I may be way over my head.

Im 31 and Pregnant with my first. I'm in school and I will have a year off not by choice...I'm going into dental hygiene. I have one more prerequisite before I start clinicals. I finish micro bio this summer and then in the fall I can apply for clinicals but if I get accepted it doesn't start until a year later the next fall. The timing actually works out great because I'm due at the end of august and I will get to be home wit h the baby for a year. And then when I go back clinical is one year long. I'm afraid of getting pregnant during that time...either right before clincials start or during clinical. I have some medical issues and have trouble with a lot of birth control options. this pregnancy was an accident. We were trying to prevent and still got pregnant so I'm scared of it happening again while in school. This time the timing worked out great the pregnancy won't interfere with school. I wish there were some better options. This is my first so I don't think they will tie my tubes.
