In depends on how bad the jaundice is my girls were both janudiced but they just need sunlight. But when I was born I had it really bad my mom said they transferred me from the hospital she had me at the rainbow's and babies and I had to be put in the nicu it was so bad.
My sister was told to just let her son sit by a window so the sunlight gets on him and everything was fine.
Drs check for that I'm sure she will be fine and it's very common. Make sure she eats and ask before u get discharged what were here jaundice levels. I've never really been told but I will ask this time.
oh ... that's interesting and scary!
I hope my baby girl will be fine. 12 days to go.
Its high levels of bilirubin they usually get rid of it by eating well and having /dirty diapers. Babies born during summer can be put by window but for those born during the colder weather might need to go back.. It can be dangerous if not taken care of.. Levels being high depends on baby size. Both my daughters had to be under the lights. They were small and levels were high. It can affect the brain if too high causing certain brain damage. But it is very common that's why they check them before going home and at their first check up too
It is normal especially if your anemic during your pregnancy that's what my doctor told me and if anything if your baby has is and its at a regular you'll just have to put your bAby on early sun light to help
