When is a good time??

I'm a first time mom and I'm 10 weeks along. My boyfriend has a 7 year old from a previous relationship. When is a good time to tell him he will have a baby brother or sister?

Yeah I would really like to wait until I find out what we're having to tell him, but like I said before we are waiting to tell his family after we tell his son and I think my boyfriend would rather tell them before. I'm not sure. Its tough with kids, especially where I am not his mom. And there will be a lot of changes in his life. I just hope we will all adjust fine.

That's a very good idea. He will feel special and just keep him included older sibling often feel like they are being replaced because baby's require constant attention try to reassure him that's not the case baby's just can't do things for themselves. Relate it to him would he like u whipping his butt still lol

We are looking forward to telling him. Just don't want to tell him too soon. We're pretty sure he wants a brother or sister, he had asked his grandmother to have a baby so he can have one lol. My whole family knows, and my work knows incase I need help with the heavy lifting I usually do I told them so they didn't think I was getting lazy on them. My boyfriends mom knows but none of his other family knows. We want to tell his son first before he finds out from anyone else.

You could wait till 12 weeks when mist docs say your miscarriage rate drops a lot I didn't tell anyone till them with my first two. Or you could wait till when your going to start showing. But either way your going to have to tell him. Just make sure he knows he is not being replaced he will be a big brother and the baby will be his too in a sense :)
