As long as its local I think u r fine to drive up unti delivery
Thank you ladies i just get nervous with the seat belt and my belly but I will look into turning off my airbags I hadn't thought of that. Thank you
I stopped driving around 30 weeks because of the type of car I drive. The steering wheel points towards my belly and if I wreck then the air bag will pop and hit my belly.
I'm 38+5 and still driving, cuz my belly hasn't hit the horn yet. but I do find reversing a lil tough cuz I can't twist my torso easily.
I avoid driving too far from home, cuz I don't wanna be stuck in a jam or somewhere I can't be picked up from by someone I know if suddenly required.
I'd say drive as long as you're comfortable, but always keep a back up plan in case your water breaks, you get contractions etc. also make sure sum family member always knows where you are, where you're traveling or what route you take. avoid driving if you get leg pain, back aches, cramps, etc.
good luck.
I'm due anytime and still drive...
As long as Dr has not said other wise it is safe up until delivery. Even when on bed rest I was still ok to drive and did until I delivered. It is kinda up to you I would however turn off the airbags because it is dangerous for them to engage while you are pregnant.
