Wooow. sorry to hear about that but glad you and baby fine. What exactly is the flank area? I occassionally deal with numbness in hand. Did you?
I've passed 9 kidney stones in less than 4 years with one being "caught" in my urethra. But, I must say there is nothing more painful than child birth. (I have a 2 year old) good luck! ♡ :)
I had two kidney stones after my first pregnancy (about a month later) and I thought I was dying. It was sooooo much worse than labor. And I was in labor for 4 days before my water broke. I don't know how much of a difference it made but I also had two ovarian cysts with the kidney stones. Either way not fun at all!
Flank area is that area kind of in between your back and your front, I guess your side but more towards the back. I'm curious to see which hurts more, labor or that pain I had!!
I have had both kidneys full of stones and passed some so big the urologist said they were impassable. I have had stints placed while pregnant and had to have emergency surgery because just after I delivered my last I had one get stuck and got septic. Kidney stones are painful and I have been hospitalized too many times to count just to get antibiotics and iv dilodid for a week each time and still got sent home on strong pain killers. The only thing worse than kidney stones is kidney stones while pregnant. It is a different kind of pain then delivery. Labor is a pain that has a reward for going through it. Passing kidney stones is a pain with no reward other than the end of the pain. Labor is a more painful process but those who experienced both will normally say kidney stone are more painful because they have nothing for it.
Thanks for the insight @wyattsmom2015. I'm still on an antibiotic to treat UTI and I'm not happy about it. Label says that is should not be taken at week 38 and on and I am 38 weeks today. Per my Dr there is nothing else I can take and I have to finish it. Ugh
Sorry to hear about this but thank u for sharing with us! Wish u all the luck! <3
