How many ultrasounds?

Hey ladies!! I was just wondering what a normal amount of ultrasounds you're supposed to have within your whole pregnancy is.. I'll be 33 weeks on Monday and I've had 2. The first around 11 weeks and the second at 19 to find babys gender. Am I going to have anymore?

In dubai we have an ultrasound at every Dr visit. I had one every month and now that im in my last months I'm having one every 2 weeks. Im always looking forward for the next ultrasound and I really miss my baby in between!

First pregnancy I had 3, 1st to confirm/date pregnancy (also found out gender), 2 to check progress, 3rd to confirm baby was ready to come out via c section.

This time I have had one at 6w, 8w, 12w, 15w and 19w so far. My dr says he will do more still. Im not high risk, dr office is small and he is really nice about letting me see the baby real quick.

I've had 3. My first to find out how far along I was, one at my 12 week appointment to make sure he was OK, because she couldn't find his heartbeat with the Doppler & then my 20 week, 3D gender scan & I'm not planning on having any more unless he's in distress.

It all depends on your insurance and what they are willing to pay for. That and whether or not you are high risk.

I'm not considered high risk at all, and I have had 2 so far and will have 2 more. I will also have one for the screening, so that makes 5 total.

Yeah it depends on your dr. Mine sees all women at least every 4 weeks and has an ultrasound every appt. Then at 30w it's every two weeks. Just depends on where you go AND your insurance

If you are high risk, you have them more frequently. For a normal healthy pregnancy, usually in the beginning you get one to set the dates and check where the pregnancy is... Then the anatomy scan around 20 weeks which most refer to as the gender scan and then usually you get one more for a growth scan to see an estimate of how big baby is before you deliver..

It all just depends on the hospital/doctor, etc on how many you get.
