34 weeks, 3cm dilated, 50% effaced. Anyone make it to full term???

Hi ladies! So i posted several weeks ago that my cervix was short at 26 weeks. I stayed on bedrest since then. At 33 weeks (last week) I started contracting 2 min apart kind of strong and was admitted to L&D twice in the same week. I was discharged at 34 weeks and still on bedrest with hopes of making it to 36 weeks at least. Since Tuesday I have not had any more contractions however, today I was feeling sharp pains in my vagina when I stood up. Once I layed on my side I felt it a couple more times and it stopped. Did any of you experience something similar and make it to full term? If not, how far did you get? Hoping to keep him cooking longer but I'm also so tired and uncomfortable!

My high risk doctor has been checking me every week. With all the bedrest and progesterone shots my cervix improved (closed up a bit) and stayed stable around 2.5cm average over a 7 week period. I've been reading about alot of women you end up making it close to their due date so there's hope for us!

How often are they checking your cervix? The last they checked me was 3 weeks ago. I have no idea if anything has progressed.

I am also on bed rest. Was dilated at 1.5 and 60% at 27 weeks. I just called my doc (31+3wks) about the sharp knife like pains in my vaginal area and he just said it was ligament pains and my pelvis stretching. I too hope to make it to 36wks but with all these weird painscand pressures I am preparing to go early.

With my 3 year old son my water broke at 30 weeks (for other reasons not related to my cervix) and I had him at 31 weeks. So I've been high risk this whole pregnancy which is why they detected the short cervix so early. So far my water has not broken but I did lose my mucus plug. I'll be 35 weeks on Tuesday and glad to be this far. Just taking one week at a time!

28 weeks my cervix started to shorten and by 29 weeks my cervix was 70% effaced 1-2 cm dilated and at 30 weeks 90% effaced 1-2 cm dilated I'm 31 weeks now and I have to wait till Wed for my Dr appointment I'm hoping as well to make it to 36 weeks but my Dr said he will be happy if I can at least make it to 34 weeks I wish you luck!

I went into Labour @23 weeks, made it to 35 weeks. If ur waters haven't gone they can stop it. I also had another at 25 weeks. He's healthy, no disablitity or issues. He's five now. Good luck x

I wasn't diagnosed with a short cervix either, but by 35 weeks I was already dilating and effaced (3.5 50% at most) and always remained the same till I went into spontaneous labor at 39 weeks. You may still make it!

I didn't have issues with my cervix like you are having, but I was 70% effaced and 3 cm dialated from 36 weeks until my induction date at 39. When checked during induction I was barely dialated 4 cm. So keep hope. I hope baby stays baking a little longer.
