acid reflux is killing me!!!

Anybody on here taking protonix for acid reflux. Since I started my third trimester I've been having the worst acid reflux/gas EVER! I can't sleep, I can't eat. The third trimester seems to be worst for me than the last two. Was thinking about taking some protonix that I have from my job but I read its a class B drug with no proven side effects to baby.

Thank you ladies, I've tried a few of the natural remedies that you guys have recommended and started eating smaller portions and even though I still get it from time to time the symptoms have improved significantly. Now I have sciatic nerve pain :-/ this third trimester is going to be a rough one

I am 35 weeks and have been on protonix since about 8 weeks or so. It is a life saver. I would still definitely call your doctor and find out what they want you to do.

I have the acid reflux nightmare myself. I have taken so many tums I should by stock in the company lol. It's just one of the less than pleasantries we must cope with. Thank God I've only got 9 weeks and 3 days to go.

I've been having acid reflux for a while. I don't think my doctor will prescribe anything to me. It's annoying to eat and have some of the food come back up. Then I just get a feeling in my throat. My friend told me to boil some fresh ginger. I'll have to get some and see if that works.
