Iron pills & anterior placenta....

So I was told I have an anterior placenta and that it could possibly cause complications during my c-section but, my dr thinks all will be okay. Just wondering if any one else had a c-sec with one. Also, he started me on iron pills today cause he said I'm slightly anemic, but the dosage seems so high , what are side effects of iron pills? I deliver in 4 weeks

They changed it to just one 325mg once a day, thanks ladies!

BarbieAnn, try cherry juice...it tastes better and works just as well. My general practitioner recommended it years ago for me when I was constipated due to something else.

they put me on iron pills too. The only problem is constipation I drink a cup of prune juice every other day. if its cold and u pour it in a cup and chug it down like alcohol you don't taste it and it cleans you right out lol.

I take 325 mg also but just one a day and I usually do it right before or right after I eat so it doesn't get me naucious

I'm on the same amount as you for iron.  Tummy ache and constipation are the 2 main side effects. I had to go to slow release iron due to getting sick from them. It hasn't.made me constipated unless I skimp on my water...and its normal for.your poo to be really dark after taking iron.

They want me to take 325mg 2x a day  , I hearedit can mess with your stomach also though like cause nausea. I got past that I don't want to spend my last 4 weeks sick
