breast feeding

I have my nipples pierced and have for 12 years. Just wondering if anyone who has had theirs pierced has breast fed? I'm hoping not to have any issues.

I removed my nipple piercing around 2 years ago. sometimes I still feel the hole hasnt completely shut and a lil residual stuff is stuck which I squeeze out during showers. I heard that the breastmilk will come out of the piercing holes too, but also that the baby will quickly adapt to that.
only one way to find out  :-)

I took mine out pretty early in my first pregnancy because they hurt. I couldn't breastfeed because my milk never came in, nothing to do with the piercings. However even after 4 years they still are not closed all the way.

To be honest...breast milk comes out of several pores on the nipple, not just one hole, So in addition to the milk escaping from your piercing, baby will be getting milk from all over...I don't have any piercings, but in sure you'll be able to feed just fine.

I got mine when I was 18. I'm pregnant at 29. I took mine out when I was about 3 months. My nipples were so sore I just couldn't handle having them in and they still haven't closed completely.  I'm hoping I don't have any issues when it comes to breastfeeding when it's time.

Not really sure what possessed me in the beginning lol. But they were only 2 of my 22! Probably too much info... sorry! Over the years I really ended up loving them. They are just as pretty as earrings. Everyone has to love something about themselves right?! I'll be sad to see them go! I think I'll end up taking them out soon unfortunately. My nipples have gotten larger and are out growing the rings :( With any luck they'll stay open and I'll be able to put rings in later on, if not it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make.

I am sorry, I don't mean to judge, but why would you pierce your nipples! Ouch! What's the idea?
