acrylic or gel nails

Hi ladies,
Are any of you moms/mom-to-bes maintaining acrylic nails during your pregnancy? I'm a FTM and I tried to go without and had them removed (my nails are horrid and soft... Not sure the prenatals can fix this).

Let me know.

Thank you so much ladies for your responses (I was scared no one would respond). I sincerely appreciate it. I got my nails done. I doubt my nails can look any worse than they did prior (if they do I'll revert back). Thanks so much, again!

Gel is better for your nails and also has lower odor. It's a win win. However, because your hormones may mess with the moisture content of your nail beds, you may find it's tougher to keep any artificial nails looking good through your pregnancy.
