You barely feel it! It was mostly on my legs and feet. I got acupuncture everyday from just before 41 weeks and gave birth about 5 days after I started - I honestly think it did nothing! But my friend had it done and said she could feel stuff happening in her uterus area during her session and started getting smallcontractions that slowed down again after the session, did the same thing next day then went into labour that night. Another friend (who just happens to be my midwife) had a stalled labour and wasn't contracting anymore when she was 6cm dilated and she called her acupuncturist in and in a few minutes she was having contractions again! So maybe it depends on the acupuncturists skill if it will work or not, or just the person getting it done. I did get it done after birth again due to symphysis pubis (painful pubic bone) and I was fixed after 1 session... So pretty sure it CAN help, but it's just not guaranteed!
The forehead? That's crazy! I'd never be able to do that!
I've got an appointment tomorrow morning. I'm so nervous. I really hope it helps!
I use it for morning sickness and am also deathly afraid of needles :) but i was desperate so I tried it and have to say i really enjoy it. I hardly feel when the needles get put in and they don't hurt once they are in. Ive had needles in my arms, legs, stomach, and feet. Also one in the forehead. If it were me i would try acupuncture before induction
