The further you get from 20 weeks, the less accurate the ultrasound is in estimating due dates. This is when the genetic factor kicks in and based on your families, the baby will either be big or small. Before 20 weeks development is pretty much the same for everyone.

When my mom had me I had me3 different due dates. I was born Feb 26 n I was born10 lbs n 23 1/2 inches long. She was only in labor for 1 hour!! I came right out. She said I didn't hurt her at all. Best pregnancy she had.But I'm terrified my baby is gonna be big like me. My fiance is a big guy 6'4 290 lbs:( I'm not really that big now I'm 5'7 n before I got pregnant I weighed 147. I can't imagine giving birth to a huge baby lol

I've been measuring bigger entire pregnancy had growth scan Friday at 38+1 and they estimate him to be about 8lbs. And estimated by DD could possibly weigh up to 10lbs. Makes me nervous because my girls were 7lbs 8oz and 6lbs 7oz and the first came on DD. But hey it is just an estimate and they may not come out as big or as small as they are estimated to be. I wouldn't worry about it too much. I'm just preparing myself mentally to possibly deliver a bigger baby than what I'm used to.

Little bit bigger isn't much of an indicator, when baby starts measuring over a week bigger, that's when you should start thinking about having a bigger baby :).
